Some Tips for Mass Mailing

By admin On January 21, 2010 Under Internet Marketing, Make Money Online, Make money online from home

Sometimes you cannot help but wonder why we don’t get good responses from the mass mailing company. One reason being the main purpose of mass emailing is not being served and your time and money are being wasted. To start off with, do not forget to ask yourself if the emails you send are really being delivered. If not, then you have come face to face with a serious problem and the entire exercise of mass email is useless.

To start off with, there should be an evaluation criteria presented to measure the amount of response to the emails you are sending. You might want to find out the reason behind a below-expectation actual response. There are times when your email service provider crashes after a short time your emails were sent, then you might want to consider the emails unsent. In addition, if the open rate on successive emails is in the range 33% to 38% then most probably your emails met a serious problem in delivery that ought to be checked.

If you are confident that the emails were successfully sent and the responses rates are still below the expected level, then there is a fat chance that people not reading or opening up your emails is increasing. If this persists, treat it as a major issue because persistence of such of problem might mean some recipients report your emails as spam, this could ruin your reputation.

A recommended step to ensure that most of your subscribers are getting your emails is to open up an account on most of the prominent sites. Once you knew that a certain address is not receiving your emails, it can be that your email has not reached your domain or the site has something against you. You could use Deliver monitor or Delivery watch. The reports they make will let you know the exact percentage of the emails leading to being blocked or filtered from reaching major service providers like Gmail and Yahoo.

You have to be extra cautious about their presence on black lists. There is a lot of black lists, so be sure to check your IP address on some of the prominent ones. Checking your IP address is required on the ISP list from where you send your Bulk emails. Do not even think of sending bulk emails from your regular Internet Service Provider. Use a different IP protocol and ensure safety from getting into legal hassles. A feed back loop is highly suggested; this can help you gauge the level of people reporting your emails as spam. Using more text than images in the emails can help in reducing the chance of you coming under the checking of ISP providers blacklists. Lastly, try sending one email at time. This might be tiresome but would pretty much protect your reputation and the longer you protect it the better is your campaign.
