Black Hat SEO Won’t Help You Make Money From Home
If you’d really like to make money from home, then you should learn how to get started with SEO. Search engine optimization is pretty much important especially if your Internet marketing career involves site promotion, brand exposure and traffic generation. There are plenty of SEO articles and tips out there that can help you get started. You may also encounter stuff like white hat SEO and black hat SEO along the way of learning. If you are thinking of giving these black hat SEO techniques a try, you better not.
If you read more SEO articles online, you would know that the reason why strategies such as keyword stuffing, invisible text, link farms and doorway pages are called black hat SEO and it is because these are tricks and activities that are being frowned upon by Google, Yahoo!, Bing and other search engines since they don’t conform with the former’s rules and regulations. Take for example, keyword stuffing. You do this by including too many keywords in an article or content just to get the attention and favor of the search engine spiders and to trick the search engines to thinking that your site is rich in quality content when in fact, it’s not.
A content which is stuffed by several keywords may trick the search engine bots but not your readers, customers or followers. In their eyes, your content will be deemed unreadable, nothing makes sense, thanks to those stuffed keywords. If this happens, you will likely lose a number of readers or customers and without these people, how can you make money from home?
Search engine rankings are significant in one’s online career but so are customer sales and orders. What’s the use of occupying the top spot in the search engine results when everyone who lands in your site clicks away in a heartbeat and swears to never come back again? That’s enough proof that black hat SEO won’t be able to help you make money from home.
Perhaps the only useful thing that the black hat SEO techniques can give you is search engine position and traffic as well. However, that can only last for quite a while since those search engines are way smarter now and they are constantly on the look-out for online activities that may be using black hat SEO techniques. So it’s only a matter of time before your site can no longer be found if you try to search for it through Google and Yahoo!
As for the traffic thing, this is quite beneficial if you are able to convert that traffic like no other. Getting traffic for your site is one thing. Convincing that traffic to buy from your site is another. Black hat SEO may be able to help you with the first part but you alone can work on the second part, which is traffic conversion.
Most, if not all, SEO articles will tell you that doing the said techniques is a huge risk. It’s alright to take on a risk when you know you have the chance to make money from home through it. But black hat SEO will only push you closer to the edge with so little or no real rewards at all. It’s all up to you to decide if it’s worth a shot or not.
